This episode of GMW-TV show aired September 12, 2002

This week's edition of GMW-TV opened with a historic look back at the 9/11/01 events that changed our country forever.

Ron Lemieux opened the show this week with a look at the card for "Unlikely Alliances", set for this Saturday night, September 14th in Lyndon Center, VT. After a short break, we saw video clips of all the participants at "Unlikely Alliances".

A look at The Egomaniacs, Jonny Idol and Mike Steele, focused on their run as GMW Tag Champions, then their somewhat successful singles run as challengers to the GMW Championship and TV title. Just when it looked like the Ego's were about to reunite and tangle with Alex Arion and Maverick Wild, the GMW office stepped in and ordered a special main event for "Unlikely Alliances". The main event will be a tag team match. However the former champions will be on opposite sides of the ring when Idol teams with Maverick Wild to meet Steele and his new partner, Alex Arion! After the video package on The Egomaniacs, another look back, this time at Maverick Wild and Alex Arion. Look for all hell to break loose this Saturday night!

Another big match some 5 months in the making is the long anticipated bout between former best friends, when Debonair Cruz squares off with Fred Curry, Jr. Curry showed his true colors back in April at "A Fight at the Opera" when he turned his back on his longtime friend and partner, Cruz. Another well produced video package showed the evolution of the tag team, nearly winning the GMW Tag Titles at "Vindikation". Then we progressed through the dastardly attack in April. We followed Cruz around all summer as Curry continually ducked the popular young Latin star! Both men are chomping at the bit, and absolutely anything can happen this Saturday night!

Next, Ron Lemieux interviewed "The Alpha Male" Justin Powers. The eccentric Powers will be one of three combatants in the ring competing against "Rapid Fire" Brian Jury and Johnny Curtis for the new GMW Young Lions Championship this Saturday night. The interview with Powers then shifted into a highlight package featuring all three wrestlers. This should be as exciting a match as you'd expect from Green Mountain Wrestling this coming Saturday night!

Next we heard comments from the newly formed tag team of Aaron Morrison and Antonio Thomas. Morrison and Thomas will be challenging for the GMW Tag Team Titles this Saturday night at "Unlikely Alliances" when they face off against The SouthEast Connection for the gold.

Rounding out the fastest half hour in television this week, a match between former GMW Champion, Tarzan Taylor meeting the challenge of Allen Greene. The exuberant newcomer momentarily looked like he had Taylor in a compromising position when he delivered a fantastic full nelson into a sit out power bomb. Greene's inexperience showed as he went to the top rope for a high risk move, and Taylor caught him in his chokeslam Taylor Bomb for the win.

As the program came to a close, there was an unseen attack in the backstage area. There was some eerily familiar music in the background during the attack. Hopefully, there'll be more info on this attack on next week's program!

That's all for this week. Tune in again next week and catch the action of Green Mountain Wrestling!
