This week, GMW-TV got off to a bang when during the opening of the telecast, Sonny and Jeff Goodspeed went to the ring in their Street Fight gear. The team of Mean Biggie Greene and Big Daddy Dave Walker provided the opposition for Sonny and Jeff.
As you might have guessed, scientific wrestling was nowhere to be found in this battle. The Goodspeed's took this match to gear up for the upcoming Street Fight with Aaron Morrison and "Wrong Way" Johnny Royal at VindiKatioN.
Greene and Walker put up a good fight for several minutes, but in the end as Sonny threw Mean Biggie Greene headfirst into a brick wall, Jeff Goodspeed gained the pinfall victory over Big Daddy Walker. After the match, Jeff took the mic and left the interview area with several sharp comments for Morrison and Royal as their Street Fight at VindiKatioN is only three short weeks away.
In the next match, Brutal Bob Evans took care of Devastating Dean Eastman after a textbook shoulderbreaker. Eastman put up a great battle, but on this occasion wasn't able to capitalize as he lost to the ring veteran.
Following this match were several interviews. First, Bob Evans addressed his upcoming "I Quit" match at VindiKatioN against The Golden Greek, Alex Arion. Evans has a fire in his eyes and told the fans that there was no way that he'd ever say "I quit".
Up next was "Wrong Way" Johnny Royal. This interview started with Royal's back to the camera. Host Lou Bordeaux had to get Johnny turned around in the right direction for the interview. Royal contended that he was dressed in his pajamas for his upcoming Pillow Fight at VindiKatioN. Once again, Bordeaux had to correct Royal and informed him that his match at VindiKatioN was not a Pillow Fight, but a Street Fight. Royal said he'd gladly take the fight to the streets of Newport as long as there was a pizza parlor there.
Next were some haunting words from former GMW Champ, Maverick Wild. In preparing for his match at VindiKatioN against GMW Champion Tarzan Taylor, Wild said, "I'm not a man of extravagant means. I don't have any fancy clothes. I don't drive a fancy car. The one piece of jewelry I like, the GMW Title belt was stolen by Tarzan Taylor. I'm done complaining. Tarzan, I'm coming back for MY VindiKatioN! The whole card is named after my reasoning. I am coming after you for my personal VindiKatioN! I'm coming back for my pretty piece of jewelry!"
The TV Main Event this week featured "Wrong Way" Johnny Royal against "Turbo" Tim Fury. This match was a very well fought back and forth contest. Late in the match, referee Craig Collier was trapped in a corner and was hit full force as Royal whipped Fury into the corner. Moments later, Gary "The Torch" Kudalis ran into the ring in a referee's shirt. Kudalis counted a pinfall for Fury over Royal. As Tim got up to celebrate, he realized he'd been had by "The Torch". Kudalis then fed Fury to Royal who hit him with his variation of the Olympic Slam. At this time, referee Collier was groggy, but coming out of it and was able to count the pinfall for Royal over Tim Fury.
