GMW-TV February 14, 2002

Welcome to the latest installment of GMW-TV, this episode aired on February 14, 2002, just 10 days away from the biggest event in the history of Green Mountain Wrestling, VindiKatioN:

In the opening contest, Sonny and Jeff Goodspeed put away the Texas Hangmen #2 & #3 in a battle of superheavyweight tag teams. The Goodspeed's have been training day and night for their Newport Street Fight at VindiKatioN on the 24th. Following their victory, in a brief interview, they told their opposition in the Street Fight that no matter what they brought to the ring, no matter how they chose to use their weapons, there was absolutely no way that Aaron Morrison and Johnny Royal will prevail at VindiKatioN.

The Goodspeed's opposition, Morrison and Royal, then came out for an interview. In direct conflict with what the Goodspeed's had just said, the team of Morrison and Royal told the fans that it would be their day for "VindiKatioN"!

Up next was another tag match, this one featuring Morrison and Royal opposing "The SouthEast Connection", Mark "The Dude" Malibu and Kid Mikaze. Morrison and Royal prevailed although "The SouthEast Connection" put up a great fight. They will be heard from in the upcoming weeks here on GMW-TV! After the match was over, Morrison and Royal continued to punish their fallen opponents until Sonny and Jeff Goodspeed ran to the ring to help Malibu and Mikaze. Morrison, Royal and the Goodspeed's then got into an impromptu tussle further solidifying the rage that these four men are feeling heading into VindiKatioN! The Street Fight definitely will not be for the weak at heart...

One half of the GMW Tag Champion "Egomaniacs", Mike Steele came out for an interview. Steele cleared up the reason that neither Scott Dickinson nor Jonny Idol were at Slamtech. He told the fans that Dickinson and Idol were in training, "at the beach"..."drinking Mai Tai's". Originally scheduled to defend the tag titles, Steele also lamented that neither Rocket Fred Curry, Jr. nor Debonair Cruz showed for their TV match either, claiming they were cowards. (Editor's Note: Curry and Cruz later told me that their absence was NOT cowardly, they were simply using the absence as a head game toward Idol and Steele for their Tag Team Title match at VindiKatioN. Curry and Cruz have been training in seclusion somewhere in southern New England. Expect them to be at 100% and seeking their own "VindiKatioN"!)

After a break, Mike Steele took to the ring against "Rapid Fire" Brian Jury. Steele took a hard fought victory against future star, Jury. Brian gave Steele much more than he bargained for in making a great showing for himself.

Closing out the show was an interview with Devastating Dean Eastman, who told us about the upcoming Slamtech Scramble at VindiKatioN.
