GMW-TV February 21, 2002
VindiKatioN was just three days away and all the stars of Green Mountain Wrestling were eager to head into the Municipal Building in Newport!
This week's program begins with Lou Bordeaux introducing as his guest commentator none other than the King of the Mountain TV Champion, "The Golden Greek" Alex Arion! Alex is glad to be on the telecast this week, but at the same time he can't wait to get his hands on Bob Evans and make him say "I Quit".
After a break, GMW Champion Tarzan Taylor and Brutal Bob Evans came out for an interview. Once again Taylor stressed that Maverick Wild, his opponent for the GMW title at VindiKatioN, was yesterday's news and couldn't compete with the "younger, smarter, better looking current uninterrupted GMW Champion"! Bob Evans then took the mic and said that his long term goal is to be the WWF World Champion. He also said that his career would not be classified as a "glorious maybe". Evans also alluded to "making a statement" later today. Chilling words indeed from these two studs of Dickinson's Army.
In the opening match, Mark Vincent earned a hard fought victory over Mean Biggie Greene with a neckbreaker. Look for fireworks from these two this Sunday at VindiKatioN!
After the match when Vincent was about to head back to the locker room, he was attacked by Bob Evans. Apparently, this was the statement that Evans said he'd deliver earlier. During the brawl, Alex Arion on commentary said that he'd had enough and had to do something about it. Several GMW officials had to hold Arion back, saving him from the potential suspension if he were to make physical contact with Evans. While Arion was being restrained, Maverick Wild ran to the ring to save Vincent. When Vincent finally was able to escape safely, it was time for the TV main event.
Maverick Wild defeated Bob Evans by DQ when Tarzan ran into the ring after Wild had applied his finishing hold to Evans. There is bad blood all the way around, and we can only hope that these issues will be settled at VindiKatioN!
The program this week ended with a terrific highlight package produced by Tanya Cornell of TC Tapes.net showing all of the background leading to the matches at VindiKatioN this Sunday. I don't know if GMW-TV is going to be nominated for any cable ACE awards this year, but this video package was definitely that high in quality!
