GMW-TV February 28, 2002

Starting off the post-Vindikation world, we have a new GMW Champion in Maverick Wild. While Vindikation was just that for some, for others it served as a springboard to more rage here in GMW. Among those would be the tag team of Debonair Cruz and "Rocket" Fred Curry, Jr. Another tag team that will be looking to avenge a defeat at Vindikation is the team of "No Respect" Aaron Morrison and "Wrong Way" Johnny Royal. Despite a battle that went to every corner of the Newport Municipal Building, Morrison and Royal came out on the short end of the stick at Vindikation.

In the TV opener this week two of the combatants from the Slamtech Scramble, Mean Biggie Greene and Antonio Thomas squared off. This was a great, fast paced contest between two of the brightest up and coming stars in Green Mountain Wrestling. In the end, Greene was able to win this one over Thomas.

Next, Kirk Roberts defeated Kid Mikaze with a guillotine DDT. Mikaze made a brilliant showing, and when he thought he had Roberts ripe for the picking, Kid went to the top for a moonsault. Roberts was able to roll out of the way though, and that spelled the beginning of the end for Mikaze.

The new Slamtech Champion, "Dangerous" Dean Eastman upended "Alpha Male" Justin Powers in a hard fought, non title contest. Eastman was able to catch Powers coming off the top rope, and turned him into a power bomb for the 1, 2, 3.

Proving just how tough these young men are, Sonny & Jeff Goodspeed, just four days removed from that brutal Newport Street Fight at Vindikation, went right back into the squared circle to meet the Texas Hangmen 2 & 3. Just after the introductions, Morrison and Royal came to the ring. At first things appeared as if they wanted to turn this match into a three way tag team dance. The Hangmen disapproved, and the team of Morrison and Royal snapped and pummeled the big men from Texas. This one turned into an impromptu rematch from Vindikation. Although this one wasn't meant to be a Street Fight, there were a distinct lack of scientific wrestling holds used here. The finish came when after some double teaming and the attack of Sonny Goodspeed outside the ring, Johnny Royal took out Jeff Goodspeed with his version of an Olympic Slam.
