The smoke is still clearing and the dust remains settling since Vindikation took place in Newport, VT eleven short days ago. Many of the premier athletes in GMW took to the squared circle again this week. Let's take a look at what happened on this edition of GMW-TV!
Starting off this week in a top notch battle of light heavyweights, "Turbo" Tim Fury squared off with Kid Mikaze. This match was just what you thought it might be! Lots of high flying action, with hardly a minute for anybody to catch their breath! In the end though, Fury proved too much for the man from Little Tokyo, NY as he hit not one, but two Fury Splashes from the top rope and gained the victory.
Up next, none other than the GMW King of the Mountain TV Champion, Alex Arion. The Golden Greek's opponent this week was "Rapid Fire" Brian Jury. Keep in mind that for the TV Title defenses, the Champion picks his opponent's name out of a hat in the locker room just prior to match time. So far, Arion has drawn some very competitive young men. These matches are always full of great action and this one was no exception! After several minutes of great action, Arion successfully defended his championship when he hit a springboard plancha and vaulted over Jury, rolling him up for the three count. Jury put up a super effort and looked several times during the match as if he would indeed become the new KOTM TV Champ.
We then saw a highlight package leading up to next week's "Loser Leaves GMW" match between GMW President Gary Langevin and the "Commander-in-Chief" of Dickinson's Army, Scott Dickinson. If you were at Vindikation, you clearly saw that these two haven't forgotten any of the issues that have been burning between them for a long, long time now. This one will finally see its culmination right here on GMW-TV on the March 14th edition. Don't miss it!!!
This week's TV Main Event was a six man, elimination tag team match. On one side was Dickinson's Army, represented by "Brutal" Bob Evans, former GMW Champion "Tarzan" Taylor and Egomaniac Mike Steele. Their opponents for this bout were the new GMW Champion Maverick Wild teaming with Sonny & Jeff Goodspeed. In order of elimination, first was Jeff Goodspeed. Second out was Mike Steele followed by Sonny and then Tarzan. This left the final two in the match Bob Evans and Maverick Wild. Finally despite having fought off an earlier double team when Taylor was still involved, Maverick came out on top after catching Evans in his patented full nelson slam for the pinfall victory!
