This week's GMW-TV show aired May 16, 2002

The program this week opened with a look back at "Vindikation", courtesy of T C Tapes. The segment showed the controversial end of the GMW Tag Team Title match between the Green Mountain Wrestling Tag Team Champions, The Egomaniacs, "Irresistible" Jonny Idol and Mike Steele. Their opponents at Vindikation were the popular duo of "Rocket" Fred Curry, Jr. and Debonair Cruz.

The opening contest this week featured Mark Vincent meeting "Brutal" Bob Evans. This is Evans' first match back in GMW since GMW President Sean O' Reilly suspended Evans for 30 days. Early on, Evans skills in all forms of hand-to-hand combat were evident as he utilized several martial arts maneuvers in subduing the less experienced Vincent. At one point, things looked as if they would change in Vincent's favor as he bulldogged Evans, but could only get a two count. Shortly after this, referee Craig Collier was caught in the corner and had the wind knocked out of him. When Evans saw that the referee was in no position to enforce the rules, he took advantage of that moment to grab a chair from ringside and attack Vincent's injured arm. The groggy referee then called for the bell. However, GMW President O' Reilly was at ringside as a color commentator. He made his way into the ring, then pushed Evans into Vincent's version of the Diamond Cutter. Referee Collier then counted the pinfall. The winner is Mark Vincent! Evans was beside himself at that point! He then proceeded to attack both O' Reilly and Vincent. Ultimately, the GMW President was able to exact revenge on Evans. We haven't heard the last of this, I'm sure.

Up next was a special tag team match as the GMW Tag titles were on the line when The Egomaniacs met "Rocket" Fred Curry, Jr. and Debonair Cruz. The match was to be held under "Texas Tornado" rules. Also, manager Scott Dickinson was barred from the building. With all four men in the ring, things quickly got out of control. Mike Steele wedged a chair between the bottom rope and the mat. Then he and Jonny Idol rammed Curry's head into the chair, knocking him senseless. A short time later, Curry was escorted to the backstage area for medical attention. The Egomaniacs then double teamed Cruz. Mike Steele took Cruz to the second rope and delivered his patented vertical suplex, where he holds his opponent upsidedown, motionless and about to receive the ride of his life. A battered Fred Curry gamely returned to the ring to aid his partner, Cruz. Curry went to the top to deliver a missile dropkick, and at the last moment, Jonny Idol pushed Debonair Cruz into the full impact of the blow. Cruz was then an easy victim for the tag team champions, The Egomaniacs.

No one could believe what was about to happen next. Fred Curry blamed his partner for their inability to gain the titles. It looked as if it would come to physical aggression between the two men who have been partners and friends for many years. Just as the two settled their spat, Curry raised Cruz's arm for the crowd in attendance and then proceeded to attack his longtime partner. After having his way with Cruz, Curry then took the house mic and berated his now-former partner. The program came to an end with us seeing Fred Curry, Jr. with a whole new attitude.
