The action started this week with a look back at last week's match between "The Alpha Male" Justin Powers and one half of the GMW Tag Team Champion SouthEast Connection, "The Dude" Mark Malibu. The replay clearly showed that the interference of Texas Hangman #2 resulted in Powers' victory.
The opening bout this week had an element of revenge to it as the GMW Tag Team Titles were on the line when The SouthEast Connection defended the straps against The Texas Hangmen. After last week's interference, Mark Malibu was looking forward to gaining some revenge on the near 300 pound Hangman #2! Eventually, Malibu would exact that revenge as he hit a rolling forward slam. He then tagged out to partner Kid Mikaze who nailed #3 with an outstanding Senton Bomb for the pinfall!
Following the tag match, there was a highlight package from the recently held, "United We Slam!". If you missed "United We Slam", first of all shame on you! Don't despair...a special collector's edition video is available from T C Tapes, the official video home of Green Mountain Wrestling. Do yourself a favor and get your copy. United We Slam was a great night of GMW action! The crowd was hot, the action was hot, heck even the building was hot! In this week's TV Main Event, the newly crowned GMW Women's Champion, Mercedes Martinez granted a rematch to her opponent from "United We Slam!", the eccentric Trinity H. Campbell! Once again, both women resorted to many of the submission tactics that made their match in Newport a classic. Late in the match, after the referee was knocked down, none other than "The Alpha Male" Justin Powers ran into the ring and DDT'd the much smaller Martinez! Campbell then followed up with a chokeslam on Mercedes and in the blink of an eye, there's a brand new GMW Women's Champion and it's Trinity H. Campbell! Just as they were about to inflict more abuse on Mercedes, Antonio Thomas ran in to the ring to save the former champion. Following all that chaos, Thomas and Martinez issued a challenge to Powers and Campbell for a mixed tag team match on an upcoming episode of GMW-TV!
