This week's GMW-TV show aired October 17, 2002

The show opened this week with a determined Mercedes Martinez, claiming that she indeed will defeat Trinity H. Campbell to once again become the reigning GMW Women's Champion! Unfortunately, it doesn't look like this is going to be her week when we're taken back to an interview with Trinity who says that because she injured Mercedes, she'll have to find another opponent for tonight.

Green Mountain Wrestling newcomer Talia is Campbell's opponent on tonight's edition of GMW-TV! Early in the match, Campbell knocked the wind out of Talia with a devastating version of a sit out body slam. The game rookie, knowing this may be her only chance to win the GMW Women's title, managed to regroup and get in some great offense of her own including a well executed hurancanrana! Towards the end of the match after the champion continued to wear down the rookie, Campbell sequentially delivered a spinebuster then a vicious clothesline from the top rope. Talia attempted to counter with a head scissors which the defiant champion swatted away. The end came for Talia when Trinity put her away with a sit out power bomb. After the match, Campbell made Talia her next victim with her attack of Talia with the GMW Women's Championship belt! Campbell followed this up with a Camel Clutch when out of nowhere, Mercedes Martinez ran to the ring to save the newcomer from further punishment! Martinez then told the crowd in attendance that she had recovered from Campbell's recent attack on her and she was issuing a challenge to Campbell for the GMW Women's Championship!

Up next was this week's very special Main Event. Challenging for the Green Mountain Wrestling Tag Team Championships, Kid Mikaze and Mark Malibu, The SouthEast Connection were defending against the new combination of "No Respect" Aaron Morrison and his new partner Antonio Thomas. This was to be Morrison's first tag team action here in GMW since the institutionalization of his cousin and former partner, "Wrong Way" Johnny Royal. This contest despite its very high expectations didn't disappoint anyone. All four grapplers were on top of their games for this title match. Early on, Kid Mikaze lit it up with several innovative moves. While atop Thomas' shoulders, The Kid quickly spun into a hip toss takedown, then later in the bout, Mikaze delivered an absolutely unbelievable corkscrew plancha from the top rope out onto the other three men, all of whom had brawled to the outside!

If you missed this contest, be sure to go to T C Tapes and pick up a copy of this wild GMW action! You will not be disappointed! Once the men got back in the ring, it was time for Antonio Thomas to exhibit some of his pure power repertoire. Not the least of which was an incredible gut wrench that Thomas turned into a combination powerbomb/piledriver! OUCH! After a tremendous neckbreaker on Kid Mikaze by Aaron Morrison, the referee was knocked out. At this point Malibu delivered a victory roll on Thomas, after a tag Kid Mikaze finished off Thomas with a corkscrew moonsault. Just then, Morrison clubbed Malibu with one of the title belts, even imploring chief videographer Tanya Cornell, "Hey camera babe...hold my belt!" Thomas followed with a superplex of Kid Mikaze, and Morrison then finished it with a big splash on the Kid. Morrison scored the pinfall and we have brand new GMW Tag Team Champions in "No Respect" Aaron Morrison and Antonio Thomas!
