This week's episode of GMW-TV aired on April 4th, 2002.

The show started with The Egomaniacs, "Irresistible" Jonny Idol and Mike Steele, commenting on how they didn't think they should have to defend the GMW Tag Team Titles coming up at
"A Fight at the Opera" to be held at the Littleton Opera House in Littleton, NH on
Saturday April 27th. They brought up the point that they decisively beat
"Rocket" Fred Curry, Jr. and Debonair Cruz at "VindiKatioN" this past February.

In the opening match this week, The Texas Hangmen #2 & #3 took on the SouthEast Connection of Kid Mikaze and "The Dude" Mark Malibu. This was somewhat of a return match, as two weeks ago Hangman #2 prevailed over Malibu in a controversial match when it appeared the Hangmen switched places while the referee's back was turned. This time though despite a size advantage, the Hangmen couldn't keep up the torrid pace of the SouthEast Connection. The end came for the men from Texas when Malibu hit a big spinebuster on #3, then followed it with a legdrop as Kid Mikaze doubled up on #3 as Mikaze and Malibu gained the pinfall victory.

Next we heard from Jeff Goodspeed who has challenged Tarzan Taylor at
"A Fight at the Opera". Jeff was joined by brother Sonny Goodspeed. Sonny made no bones about it by telling Jeff that he didn't think he was ready to take on the former GMW Champion.

The GMW King of the Mountain TV Champion, "Golden Greek" Alex Arion then put his title on the line as he met the challenge of Mean Biggie Greene. Greene has come a long way in his first year of competition here in GMW, but came up just a bit short this time around. Arion gained the win with a big splash from the top rope. Arion will be meeting GMW Champion, Maverick Wild at "A Fight at the Opera" in what should be a classic Champion vs. Champion encounter!

"Alpha Male" Justin Powers then met Antonio Thomas. This was another great back and forth contest. Ultimately, the "Alpha Male" won this one when he took the short cut and pinned Thomas while his feet were on the ropes. Antonio looks bigger and better every time we see him on GMW-TV and there's no doubt that he'll be looking to avenge this loss to Justin Powers.

"Big Daddy" Dave Walker then came out for an interview in which he issued a challenge to GMW Slamtech Champion, "Devastating" Dean Eastman. After the interview, the match was supposed to take place between the two, but Walker attacked the ringboy who foolishly put Big Daddy's cowboy hat on and mocked the big man as he was leaving the ringside area. All hell broke loose and this one quickly degenerated into a no contest.

The TV main event this week featured "Turbo" Tim Fury against one half of the GMW Tag Team Champion Egomaniacs, Mike Steele. You'll remember that last week on the show Steele's partner, Jonny Idol took his first step towards a singles career in GMW when he met and beat Kid Mikaze. This time, Steele followed suit when it looked as if Fury might capture the victory, Idol ran to the ring from the locker room and pushed Turbo Tim off the top rope. Steele then applied his patented "Stainless Steele" finishing move (a variation of a guillotine legdrop) for the win. Now in the past two weeks, both Egomaniacs have won singles matches...where do they go from here? Tune in again next week to GMW-TV to find out!
